Cluster Head - Finance (with Sales/ Marketing background experience)

Purpose:


Catalyst in developing and achieving long term and short term goals in respective Cluster while optimizing the overall business risk profile.

Education:

- CMA, CA, MBA in Sales/Marketing.

- Dual qualification would be preferred with one in Business Administration (MBA)

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Collaborates with Sales & Marketing teams to create and implement long-range, strategic plans for the respective Cluster including Financial Projections.

2. Drive market mapping exercise for Long term planning and resource allocation of the Cluster; build driver based planning models

3. Engage with Sales, Supply Chain & Senior Leadership to ensure buy-in and ownership of the strategic planning process

4. Facilitate the development of annual operating plans that support the execution of the strategic plan

5. Identify opportunities and action plans to ensure Company attains leading position in the respective Cluster and countries

6. Work closely as a Co-pilot with Cluster Sales Leaders and Cluster Supply Chain leaders in improving Business outcomes - budget sales, margins, investment (inventory & AR) across countries in Cluster.

7. Train and manage Country Business Finance partner in handling their day-to-day responsibilities and nurtures team to groom them as next level leaders

8. Assist Sales Leaders in annual and periodic target setting and release of incentive letters within respective cluster countries

9. Contribute to Creativity ecosystem within the Cluster on various areas as Customer centric business model, gain market share, productivity improvement areas and/or other areas.

10. Monitor progress, identify actions and actively work to resolve constraints/course corrections as needed

11. Identify and track key performance indicators to measure progress against the approved annual budgets and 5-year strategic plans

12. Develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal stakeholders

13. Prepare regular reports on the status of the strategic plan for presentation to the Board of Directors and other senior leaders

14. Drives consistent adoption of best practices, system and processes across countries and cluster to build ONE COMPANY

15. Should work as back up to support Country operations in absence of Country manager.

16. Identify and drive to implement in country regulatory compliance with help of Cluster Supply Chain and Country Finance Manager.

17. Cluster Cash flow planning and coordination with Global Finance Head and Vapi accounts team for fund forecasting and optimization

18. Monthly Gross margin actual vs budget review with Cluster Sales Head; action plans to improve the same

19. Stay abreast of best practices in the field of customer centricity, sales productivity

20. Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong financial knowledge with ability to improve Business Health - customer profitability, inventory turns and sales productivity

- Hardworking, passionate and committed to deliver results with an entrepreneurial mindset

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Drives interpersonal relationships with Sales Leaders

- Good understanding of business administration, customer segmentation, sales and inventory forecasting strategies and techniques, Pricing and discounts, Competitive landscape analysis, Business Model design and optimization

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Working knowledge of Project Management

- Strong execution capability; achieve deadlines

- Good understanding of Supply Chain especially distribution and logistics network.

Experience:

- 10-15 years of deep experience in Sales Finance and Partnering domain; preferably with large Pharma and Medtech companies having Global operations

- Have worked across 2-3 culturally varied markets

- Worked on Sales transformation projects and played key role in productivity improvement

- Good understanding of Customer profitability measures and growth process

- Handled multiple countries or division under him/her and contributed to Market share and profitability growth
