Founded in 2002 by President William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria and other illnesses. Based on the premise that business oriented strategy can facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local management. By working in association with governments and other NGO partners, CHAI is focused on large scale impact and, to date, CHAI has secured lower pricing agreements for treatment options in more than 70 countries. In addition, CHAI's teams are working side-by-side with over 30 governments to tackle many of the largest barriers to effective treatment and care.

Since 2004, CHAI has worked on various initiatives in India in collaboration with partners and the Ministry of Health.

Position

CHAI is currently seeking a highly qualified Human Resources (HR) Manager to support all HR functions for the CHAI India Country Office. This individual will be based in CHAI's office in New Delhi and will directly report to the Country Director of CHAI India. S/he will also work closely with CHAI's Global HR and Recruitment Department to ensure integration of policies globally.

The HR Manager's primary function will be leading all recruitment efforts, developing HR operations and policies, supporting compensation adherence and partnering with country leadership on all aspects of HR management. This individual will play a central role in supporting the development of an organizational culture that reflects CHAI's values including: promoting accountability, focusing on impact and encouraging a culture of respect and innovation. S/he is expected to streamline all HR operations within the CHAI India office and ensure staff members have adequate HR support and guidance.

Job Requirements

Managing all aspect of Recruitment process including, but not limited to:

- Act as advisor to hiring managers to determine staffing needs and targeted candidate profiles for each vacancy.

- Support Hiring Teams with the development of job descriptions and provide training to new managers on how to best navigate CHAI's 'Hiring Manager Portal'. Work closely with Global Recruitment Manager to ensure roles are uploaded, approved, and align with local labor law requirements as well as CHAI's Global Hiring Guidelines.

- Provide consistent communication to hiring teams and candidates on the position's status throughout the recruitment process.

- Screen applicants to assess qualifications and conduct initial behavioral interview to generate candidate recommendations for respective hiring teams.

- Work closely with CHAI's Talent Acquisition Partner to optimize CHAI's 'Internal Candidate Pipeline'. Inform current staff in the India office about the 'internals process' and provide recommendations for upward and lateral mobility within the organization.

- Ensure realistic salary expectations are set with each candidate based on CHAI's compensation framework.

- Work collaboratively with Hiring Teams to determine appropriate and equitable offer terms. Extend both verbal and written offers, confirm finalized terms with candidates & address compensation related questions.

- Collaborate with Global Human Resource Partners, Directors & Coordinators to ensure onboarding is streamlined

- Deliver Hiring Manager trainings which focus on recruitment tools & techniques, talent management & interview optimization.

Managing all aspect of Human Resources including, but not limited to:

- Onboarding: manage onboarding and new hire orientation.

- Development: provide professional development support to staff as needed, including: management training, career development, guidance on delivering and receiving feedback, address employee relations issues & succession planning.

- Transition: supports staff with both transitioning within the organization as well as those who are leaving CHAI; manage alumni network and leverage relationships accordingly.

- Compensation: Provide compensation support that includes, but not limited to: monitoring and analyzing compensation, ensure equity across job levels and career tracks, facilitate adherence to CHAI compensation framework, and provide relevant data to support annual compensation review.

- Operations: Benefits management, safety and security oversight,, administration, payroll administration, work permit processing, project start up and close out support, systems management and data record-keeping, leave record keeping, contract management for staff, independent contractors, and volunteers.

- Work closely with Country Director and Regional HR Director on implementation & adherence to CHAI's Global Code of Conduct

- Bachelor's degree required, Master Degree is preferred, with minimum of 5-7 years proven HR experience

- Expertise in recruitment, creative sourcing and applicant pipeline development

- Experience in outreach strategy,, and assessment tools

- Experience developing HR systems and processes.

- Prior experience managing employee relation issues within the India country context.

- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws.

- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, Hindi & other local languages strongly preferred.

- Self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as with a team

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with limited structure

- Adept interpersonal skills; strength in developing and maintaining client management relationships

- Exposure to iCIMS or other applicant tracking systems (ATS)and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
