Responsibilities :

The Business Director in India and Southeast Asia will be responsible for managing and identifying sales and business development opportunities, bridging communication between clients and internal engineer team, providing technical advice and analysis to clients on purchasing or marketing strategy and conduct necessary technical or marketing research accordingly, planning and controlling project delivery and results.

The candidate will have the following responsibilities :

- Support execution of CEA's Indian/Southeast Asia business development initiatives, also in charge of other key solar energy Asian markets as needed.

- Coordinate with a dynamic team of quality control engineers, solar industry professionals, and commercial team members in Asia, Europe and South America along with external partners to execute project engagements for clients in India/Southeast Asia.

- Act as CEA's primary point of communication with clients in India/Southeast Asia and other key solar energy Asian markets for quality assurance project items; entails sending daily reports, resolving ad-hoc quality issues, and relating all relevant actions and findings from CEA's factory- level Project Operations Team, to both internal CEA management, and to external clients.

- Coordinate with internal CEA teams on assigned accounts, in order to deliver customized client solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

- Internal support the operation of CEA commercial team on industry knowledge, project feasibility and technical troubleshooting

- External support technical advice and analysis to clients on purchasing or marketing strategy and conduct necessary technical or marketing research accordingly.

- Develop, manage and approve project scope and budget, manage deviations from scope and progress towards budget throughout duration of project, or review and approve those of other project team members

- PV technical Due Diligence assessment including independent review of solar PV designs, testing/commissioning procedures and QA/QC documentation

The candidate will report directly to Global Sales in CEA.

Qualifications :

- 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years focused on solar energy

- 5+ years of project management experience in a consulting, market research or services based business

- Strong customer focus and analytical skills

- Able to present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact.

- Proficient in technology of PV modules, cells, components and equipment

- Proficient in quality control and project management of PV modules, cells, components and equipment

- Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) mindset

- Ability to work and thrive in a start-up environment with strong problem-solving skills

- Flexible, independent and able to work and communicate effectively and transparently with different audiences in unusual circumstance, both under pressure and amidst uncertainties

- Engineering / technical undergraduate degree, but a Master's degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration is a plus

- Working proficiency in English would be desirable

- Familiar with Indian market and has a strong solar industry network there.

Availability : July 2016

Travel : Up to 40% (of the year), nationally and internationally

Location : India
