Position: Financial Analyst

Cisco India: With sales and marketing operations spread across key cities in India and a Software Development Centre in Bangalore, Cisco leads the networking market in core technologies of routing and switching, as well as WLAN and network security.

Job Description:

Core Job Responsibilities:

- Based in India, reports to India Finance Controller

- Partners the regions operations directors in driving key business goals and initiatives

- Instrumental in driving focus on bookings linearity, Profitability tracking, Revenue and discount management

- Provides analytical support and guidance for weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews and decision making

- Supports the channels organization by providing regular dashboards and decision support around programs and promotions

- Drivers the overall reporting and analytics strategy for India finance team by partnering closely with cross-functional teams and leveraging the shared services teams

- Ensures timely, accurate and meaningful sales forecasts and budget for India

- Expects to work across a varied set of internal and external partners, including non-finance functions

- Maintains a high level of integrity and objectivity as well as championing Cisco’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Requirements:

- Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business

- Requires a minimum of 5 to 8 years working experience preferably with 2 to 3 years in sales support role with a Fortune 100 MNC

- Strong business acumen coupled with financial prudence

- Strong team player with a can-do attitude and focus on a win-win philosophy

- Good interpersonal and communications skills

- Good capacity to deliver high level summaries

- Ability, and willingness, to partner at Senior Management level is key

- Ability to motivate and manage a team.

- Self-starter and ability to work under pressure

Specific skills:

- Strong excel / finance modeling skills

- Knowledge of current reporting systems (Essbase, BO) is a plus
