Position: Finance Controller

Cisco India: With sales and marketing operations spread across key cities in India and a Software Development Centre in Bangalore, Cisco leads the networking market in core technologies of routing and switching, as well as WLAN and network security.

Job Description:

- Manages leads and monitors both the financial and operational business processes to achieve overall business and company objectives.

- Establishes the affordability criteria and/or business volume objectives for the enterprise and supports partners with operating management in the planning and implementation of client group strategies.

- Partners with client groups in a team setting to provide finance expertise in developing their business strategy

- Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect the client organization

- Responsible for achieving goals that will affect costs, personnel and deadlines in the client organization

- For positions supporting business units, this includes understanding competitive and market dynamics pricing assumptions, promotions and the impact of plans on both PL and the balance sheet.

- Ensures financial and business volume outlooks and forecasts are accurately represented and opportunities/risks managed to the company’s benefit.

- Develops financials for business plan, requiring advanced analysis; demonstrates advanced knowledge of business to integrate strategies, linking financial goals and organizational profitability

- Understands Cisco's general business strategy and how it differs from competitors

- Manages projects or programs in Finance; may lead cross functional teams

- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes milestones to meet objectives

- Evaluates and sells alternative solutions, effectively influencing outcomes

Education/Qualifications

Required: Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent

Preferred: CA, or MBA or other advanced degree

Work Experiences

- At least 10~12 years or relevant experience in Finance and/or Accounting areas preferably in US high tech multinationals

- General, cost or business unit expertise with demonstrated skills in business partnership, forecasting, budgeting or accounting.

- Additional wider financial or business environment experience in project related areas is an advantage

- Relevant people managerial experiences

- Possess a track record in supporting and collaborating with cross functional teams
