APJC Transformational Accounts Customer Solution Architect

Enterprise Transformational Accounts (TA) represent Cisco’s largest and most strategic customers in the Asia-Pacific, Japan and China Region from all major industries/verticals such as financial services, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining/resources, public sector (government, healthcare). They contribute a significant percentage of APJC’s total Enterprise and Public Sector bookings, and represent an underpenetrated opportunity for Cisco to increase our relevance and share of wallet with these customers.

The TA CSA will be partnering with the CE/CD/AMs on these accounts to understand the customer’s enterprise architecture and influence the customer to use Cisco’s cross-architecture products, solutions and services in their technology architecture roadmap. The CSA will also help to orchestrate the SEs and Product Specialists on the account to deliver solutions that meet the customer’s enterprise architecture vision.

The TA CSA will be responsible for a group of Transformational Accounts in a Theater and measured against:

- The successful solution / architecture engagement and facilitation of cross-architecture discussions with the customer and Cisco teams; and ultimately integration of Cisco’s products, solutions and services into the customer’s enterprise technology architecture

- The successful sales of Cisco’s product, solutions and services to the Transformational Accounts as part of customer’s technology architecture roadmap (i.e. TA Account Products and Services Bookings)

Roles and Responsibilities

- Provide enterprise technology architecture expertise to the Transformational Account teams help them to understand and articulate the customer’s architecture vision that is required to solve the customer’s pain points or business needs

- Act as a trusted technical advisor to the Customer’s IT teams / CIO on matters of technology architecture covering networking, data center and collaboration technologies

- Work with the Transformational Customers’ technical teams to influence their overall technology architecture roadmap

- Develop and articulate Cisco cross-architecture value propositions, identifying and linking the key architectural control points that expose product features

- Engage with key TA account initiatives such as Transformative Networking as well as CxO
engagements.

- Work with the SEs and Architecture Specialists (DC, BN, Collab), and Services teams to translate the Customer’s enterprise architecture requirements into technology architectures and Cisco solutions that fit the customer’s needs

- Work with local SEs / CSEs / TSSs / AS in deploying POCs for the specified TA

- Lead and orchestrate system engineers, product specialists, services and partner teams to design and implement solutions that fits within the customer’s architecture roadmap

- Help the Cisco TA account teams to understand the competitors’ technical positioning and strategies within the Transformational Accounts so that we can build our competitive positioning against them

- Work with Cisco global teams to develop or localize reference architectures for cross-architecture solutions for our Transformational Customers as necessary

- Work closely with the APJC Smart Solutions team and Cisco Services team to deliver on their cross-architectural offerings to the Transformational Accounts

Desired Skills and qualifications

- 12+ years experience in the ICT industry with strong solution architecture emphasis.

- Experience architecting and deploying networking, data center and collaboration solutions in an Enterprise environment

- Extensive background and understanding of products & capabilities across Borderless Network, Data Centre / Virtualization, and Collaboration architectures

- Strong core networking experience (switching and routing) is advantageous, as well as strong security background across the network, the data centre and the application space

- Familiarity and experience with enterprise applications and database architectures a strong plus

- Prior experience in engaging with Cisco field, partners and/or customers on cross architecture solutions.

- Demonstrated leaderships and ability to work cross-functionally across various business units and architecture groups to drive outcomes.

- Experience in developing and communicating cross-architecture messaging based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends.

- Excellent written, verbal communication, listening and presentation skills. Able to articulate complex ideas and architectures to people at all levels of the organization.

- Proven ability to work closely with engineering development organizations to drive timely delivery of feature and functionality for their customer requirements.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field and from a reputable university/college.

- Demonstrated Enterprise Architecture skills/experience with Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF or equivalent) Certification preferable
