Circle Retail Head

Position Summary:

This position exists to drive the retail function at the Circle including rollout, sales and market expansion of own store and franchisee owned telecom retail stores within assigned Circle. The position is also responsible for managing retail operations and monitoring adherence to processes.

Job Description:

- Timely roll out of retail operations with target retail stores as per the Circle plan. Achievement of defined sales targets. Market expansion to achieve desired penetration level

- Compliance with all defined policies and procedures

- Achievement of target ROI for FOFO and COCO stores. Achieve desired results from modern trade

- Process improvements to increase market reach or facilitate revenue growth. Develop alternate channels for Sales

- Development (via training) or acquisition (via recruitment) of identified skill set to meet planned business objectives

- Performance tracking and appraisal of team as per the defined process

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan the retail roll-out of own and franchisee stores, SIS, kiosks and shops on wheels for assigned Circle in coordination with the Corporate Retail team

- Guide own and franchisee stores to develop customer experience at stores as per the guidelines

- Participate in budget preparation for retail roll out process and monitor adherence to the same

- Coordinate with the IT team to resolve any critical issues that may arise during installation of infrastructure and applications at the retail stores during roll out. Monitor the retail roll out process to ensure all defined milestones are achieved in terms of timelines and market penetration

- Develop the periodic retail sales plans based on subscriber forecast for the assigned Circle. Continuously monitor store performance, evaluate franchisee ROI and raise necessary flags to initiate remedial measures as and when required. Monitor operations of own store & franchisee stores to ensure adherence to company policies & procedures and step in to resolve critical issues

- Liaise with local vendors to finalize tie ups for roll out and maintenance through AMCs. Liaise with the Commercial team to facilitate material requirement and movement

- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop alternate channels for FOFO and COCO stores

- Study Circle retail revenue reports periodically to identify gap areas and conduct action planning to address issues in a time bound manner. Undertake initiatives based on market study, industry benchmarking and competitor analysis to enhance sales and revenue generated. Proactively plan for increasing market penetration based on subscriber forecast and inputs from the marketing team

- Monitor performance of team, share constructive feedback and identify areas of development for all subordinates

- Work closely with HR to identify and establish a specific plan for acquisition and/or development of the required skill sets to achieve current and future business objectives

Education: Graduate/ Masters in Business Administration preferred.

Experience: Candidate having 8 - 10 years of experience in the retail sector/ telecom retail/ mobile retail with primary focus on the sales & operations
