Circle Marketing Head

Position Summary:

This position exists to drive the Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing function at the Circle. The position is responsible for developing the Circle Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing plan within the overall strategy of the organization and driving execution of plans to achieve desired objectives.

- The position manages the entire product portfolio including prepaid and postpaid baskets through all channels including own/franchisee stores and develops alternate channels for acquisition and revenue growth. This position is responsible for managing & enhancing the brand equity at Circle through ATL & BTL activities.

- The position is also responsible for managing Customer Service in line with Sales & Distribution and Marketing growth plans and ensuring high levels of customer service within the turnaround time.

- The position is also responsible for generating and analyzing consumer insight through various tools for improving the service provided.

- The position is responsible for providing continuous inputs of external environment and for communicating the business progress to top management on regular basis.

Job Description:

- Development of Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing plan for the circle in accordance with the Overall Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing strategy

- Implementation of Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing strategy & plans to achieve the defined revenue, customer and brand equity KPI's in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan

- Ensure effective and speedy implementation of all Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing plans in coordination with other functions in the company as well as external suppliers / agencies.

- Ensuring Compliance of Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing budget, brand & marketing guidelines.

- Conduct continuous market monitoring and collection of customer feedback / insights and use the same to provide inputs for improvement in revenue / customer / brand KPI's.

- Developing (via training) or acquiring (via recruitment) of identified skill set to meet planned business objectives.

- Performance tracking and appraisal of team as per defined process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing Strategy, Plans and Execution

- Develop the short term and long term Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing strategy to manage the entire product portfolio including both Prepaid and Post-paid baskets for assigned Circle focussed on product positioning, pricing and promotion to achieve target acquisition & revenues in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan

- Coordinate with the Sales Head to develop the subscriber acquisition and revenue targets and implementation of product / acquisition initiatives

- Development and implementation of the Circle brand & communication plans including promotions, media planning, all ATL & BTL activities etc. to achieve desired brand preference and market share; Measure and analyze brand scores to initiate corrective measures within Circle

- Drive effective implementation of all the marketing plans developed to achieve defined objectives

- Spearhead alternate channel development, modern trade etc. to increase revenues

- Manage and develop the overall channel sales network by achieving the volume/value/profitability targets.

- Implementing the company Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing strategy and harnessing the full potential of the retail distribution system for all product range.

- Understand market trends, competition and suggest process improvements. Build brand image, position and achieve market leadership. Improve upon pricing and cost control.

- Setting up distribution benchmarks and monitoring performance against the same.

- Monitor competition distribution strategy and approach constantly

- Identify gaps in distribution and take necessary steps to cover the same

- Expansion of distribution network

- Work closely with Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing heads at Circle and Corporate for achieving desired business objectives

- Budget Planning & Control

- Prepare the Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing budget for own Circle in coordination with the Circle Finance Head, Sales & Distribution, Customer Service and Marketing heads and monitor utilization to exercise budget control

Team Management:

- Monitor performance of team, share constructive feedback and identify areas of development for all subordinates

- Work closely with HR to identify and establish a specific plan for acquisition and/or development of the required skill sets to achieve current and future business objectives

- Smooth functioning across different departments

Level of Education : Masters in Business Administration from Tier 1 Institute.

Experience: Candidate having ~15 years of experience with at least 5 years in telecom sector with primary focus on Sales & Marketing

Competencies:

- Familiarity with cellular business and key customer impacting systems and their inter-relationship

- Familiarity with tools used for collecting consumer feedback
