Position: Senior Manager - Continuous Improvement Council

Department: MD & GCEO's Office

Sub Department: Chief of Staff's - Office

Job Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

Reporting to: Associate Director

Direct reports: No

Job Description:

1. Prepare the groundwork for facilitating governance forums so that they run smoothly

- Manage the preparation of and setting the context for governance forums (both calendarized and those created on a short-term basis)

- Ensure cascade of enterprise priorities/ scorecard across the organization

- Facilitate interactions between the board and the GCEO

- Facilitate interactions between the GCEO with the MC and the Leadership Team

2. Lead and Support functional teams in the management and delivery of special projects to achieve business objectives within key priority areas for the MC

- Support the project management of key initiatives identified by the MC

- Partner with functional teams on special projects to identify new opportunities/ideas, work with external consultants, monitor project progress, de-bottleneck critical issues, manage cross-functional stakeholders and create transparency

- Personally, drive special initiatives (e.g. setting up RCI teams and data management systems, project management of key growth summit initiatives, focused M&A analysis)

- Support the Corporate Strategy function in developing the long-term strategy for Cipla

- Analyze the pharma landscape (market /products/ Competitors) and highlight the emerging trends to the Leadership team

3. Be a thought partner to the CEO and other BU/function heads

- Conduct systematic assessment of internal (e.g. number of filings or EBITDA trend) and external (e.g., filings or EBITDA trend of competitors) data to highlight challenges/issues to the CEO

- Work with internal stakeholders (GCEO-1, GCEO-2) in thinking through interactions with GCEO and to build support for functional initiatives

- Interact with internal stakeholders to assess emerging needs from a functional perspective and identify new initiatives that could be launched to meet the need

- Interact with external stakeholders to understand their requirements and consequently prioritize the GCEO's engagement with them

4. Review the CEO's engagements to identify priority areas and potential challenges

- Review the internal and external parameters of GCEO engagements to highlight challenges/issues

- Meet with the GCEO on fortnightly basis to review engagements and define priority areas

- Advice the EA on managing the GCEO's calendar to ensure it aligns with his/enterprise priorities

- Manage internal communication to relevant stakeholders with regard to the GCEO's engagements

Educational qualifications:

- MBA or PGDM equivalent relevant experience:

- 2-3 years in Business Centric Roles with exposure to Core Business OR Business operations directly Impacting Performance, experience in leading cross functional teams and projects to deliver organizational wide results, project management skills to effectively deliver key priorities on time; social and clear concise communication skills are important given the nature of the work.
