Chief Technology Officer - Startup

1) Brief description

Liveyoursport.com is looking for an Experienced and Driven Software Developer to come on board as a full time CTO. The CTO will be responsible for establishing LYS's technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development, according to its strategic direction and growth objectives.

2) Responsibilities

- Specific duties include leading the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships as well as building and managing the technology team.

- Establish technical standards and supervise software testing, information systems security and maintenance.

- Lead LYS in anticipating and reacting to major technology changes and develop technology contingency plans to keep projects on track.

- Define a Comprehensive technology platform stack for LYS to run its day to day operations efficiently. (Frontend, Backend, Security, Billing etc)

3) Positional Requirement

- Highly experienced (5-10 years) and adept in all layers of Web Stack (or software stack) including Frontend, Backend, Security and Information Systems.

- Previous experience with Start ups which has successfully shipped out products is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated previous experience in handling a technology team with the reporting employees working on all levels of software stack. ( Please provide link to your previous product ).

- BS/MS degree.

4) Personal Attributes

- Must be sharp, witty and have a Sense of Humor (important , goes a long way when back is against the wall under high pressure conditions) and also if he can motivate a team.

- Patience : Things will go wrong and sometimes LYS would be required to dump certain project and start form scratch. Under such circumstances we want the CTO to be calm and composed and be able to motivate the team.

- Good listener

- Startup Attitude and a passion for working with Start ups is a must.

Should be relatively young. Initial period will involve longer hours.
