Chief Technology Officer - NBFC - IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/FMS/MDI/XLRI

The CTO will report to the MD and will be responsible for establishing the technical vision of the Company and leading all aspects of it's technology development and its implementation. S/He will spearhead the IT function & team, will carve out Digital Strategy & Transformation and will be responsible for enhancement of Technology Services and automation to improve productivity

The CTO will - 

1. Sets the mission and vision of the IT department to foster the desired culture

2. Provides strategic direction for all enterprise wide IT operations, including infrastructure and architecture, applications development, re-engineering business processes, networks, outsourcing, and computer and auxiliary operations and support

3. Partners with business leadership to define their operational strategy and facilitate its delivery

4. Builds relationships and creates synergies across the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions

5. Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and servers.

6. Design & implement measures to foresee business risks and to control it and to improve productivity of business processes and resources

7. Plans and develops the annual expense and capital expenditure budget for IT

8. Manages the budget to ensure consistency with overall strategic objectives

9. Stays current in new technologies and platforms; identifies emerging technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the enterprise to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise's growth and objectives

10. Serves on enterprise planning and policy-making committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers values to the enterprise

11. Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the IT team and staff

Formal Education & Certification

Engineering in Computer Science from IIT

An advanced degree in one of the above fields is a plus.

MBA/PGDM from Tier-I Institutions

Knowledge & Experience

At least 10 years in Software Design and Development with minimum 3-4 years in an executive -level position / Project management; expertise in Java/J2EE required.

Expert knowledge in web development with hands on experience on multiple development platforms, like on Windows using Java/J2EE, SQL Server 2008 R2, Spring, Hibernate, Mobile Technology, Winodws Server, Struts, JS, CSS,HTML 5 1 - on Linux/ Unix using PhP, MySQL

Familiarity with Computer hardware and Networking
