Chief Technology officer - Education - IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/MDI/ISB

Position: Chief Technology Officer

Age: Less than 45 Years

Education: IIT / IIM /Tier 1 Management Institution / PhD in IT

The CTO will be required to create a Technologically Innovative Organization under the Educational Institutions Brandmanaging not just the Institutions Technology Requirements but also providing innovative solutions to other Educational Institutions

- Ready to roll-up his sleeves & work at multiples levels whenever required

- Should have offered Innovative Solutions in previous work profile

- Should have demonstrated a Collaborative Leadership as will have to work with diverse stakeholders

- Start-up experience in a - tech-driven- Educational Institution / Organization will be an added advantage

Broader Roles & Responsibilities :

- Identify & Strategize around Technological Solutions

- Research Technological Innovations used by other educational institutions in India & Internationally for managing Employees, Students & Faculty

- Identify both short-term & long-term Technological Solutions for the Institution

- Ideate and define the company's IT Vision and Strategy.

- Implement breakthrough innovations in Product Development in Online Learning, Regular Classroom Teaching, Hybrid Programs etc

- Understand Internal & External Customer requirements, assessing the markets conditions, evaluating competitive landscape, and positioning the product line to appeal to the end user.

Monitor & Analyse Tech Performance :

- Build and constantly improve the product through data analysis, Student / Faculty experience and feedback so as to improve productivity, end-user engagement and deliver improved results for the business.

- Define Information Security Policies, Standards, Processes and Risk Certification and ensure its regular audit and compliance.

- Lead the Integrated Data Centre and its 100% uptime. This includes the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity and planning for future expansion requirements.

- Should evaluate Student / Faculty feedback & concerns and integrate them into future development projects.

Manage Operating and Capital Budgets :

- Closely manage the financial aspects of Technology Development in multiple products like Learning Management System (LMS), ERP, Student Online Registration Process etc and implementation by managing Operating and Capital Budgets.

- Determine how best to allocate funds toward building effective technologies, and perform careful analysis and forecasting of return on investment for the company's technologies

Manage Public Relations :

- The CTO will be expected to be the public face of the company's technological projects and developments.

- He/she will organize and present new technologies or products offered by the Institution or its subsidiary organizations through multiple interactive modes

Requirements :

1. Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role with minimum 10 years of experience of which minimum 5 years should be around building Technologically Innovative Products for Online Learning

2. Hands-on experience on Online Learning Platforms, Student Experience Management & Faculty Challenges

3. The ability for collaborative working with diverse stakeholders like but not limited to:

I. Academicians - Professors, Deans, Vice-Chancellor, Institution Head etc

II. Business Operations Teams like Online & Offline Marketing, Admission Sales through Contact Centre, Student / Faculty Satisfaction units etc

III. Accounting, Administration etc

IV. Internal Tech Team & External Vendors

4. Excellent Communication Skills- should be able to present to - Internal Leadership- as well as to CXO level people in other Educational Institutions

5. Leadership and organizational abilities

6. Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
