Position: CTO

Location: Tehran, Iran.

Client: Market leader in E com.

Role:

- Report directly to the CEO

- Establish the technical vision for the group of companies and lead all aspects of the technological development.

- Increase the technology aspect of product development throughput 10x to keep up with explosive growth of our market.

- Drive technology strategy and direction in a way that makes the business more competitive in the marketplace - both from a product (external) and a talent acquisition (internal) perspective

- Be the steward of the company's technology resources and technology spend, ensuring that technology decisions are fiscally aligned with the business' tactics and strategies

- Create a technology organization that, on its own, is considered a - Best Place To Work-

- Provide reliable technical assessment and due diligence of potential partners and acquisitions.

- Leverage technology of the company's business partnership relationships.

- Work collaboratively with other executive team members around strategic planning and overall management of the company.

- Develop and refine team metrics and key performance indicators; plan and achieve quarterly and annual metrics and goals; report on progress to the executive team, board of directors, and company.

- Provide visibility into the development roadmap, sprints, throughput, expected timelines, etc.

- Develop strategy for designing the new scalable, loosely coupled and high performance architecture and consequently the transition phases.

- Implement effective product management practices to ensure alignment of business requirements and product features and designs.

- Strong forward looking to new trends and technologies such as mobile applications, wearables, etc.

Requirements:

- At least 15 years experience in a software development role building highly scalable commercial cloud systems or services.

- At least 10 years experience directly managing other leads or managers.

- Experienced in developing a successful, scalable technology product.

- Fluency with DevOps concepts and practices providing high availability, performance and scale.

- Proven successful experience in implementation of an Agile/Post-Agile development environments.

- Proven experience to think and act strategically and proactively.

- Experience and proven decision-making capabilities in real-world business problems - personnell, financial, business strategy, etc.

- Experienced and knowledgeable in organizational development philosophies and approaches related to building high functioning teams and organizations

- Compelling leadership style that includes extraordinary people, program management skills, business and technology expertise with a style that inspires and shows confidence.
