CTO for a leading Ecommerce organization in Mumbai

- We are a leading, professionally managed Executive Search organization engaged in identifying Senior Talent for our clients who are World-Renowned MNCs & Indian Enterprises across diverse verticals. We do placements across functions and across India.

- Our clients are a Leading, Fast-Growing Ecommerce organization based in Mumbai. They have profitable & growing global operations. They have extremely ambitious expansion plans (grow 20 times in 4 years) and are looking for an extremely competent Technology leader to help build and run the technology platform.

- Will be a part of the Senior Leadership Team and report to the Business Head.

- We are looking for young (30-35 years), dynamic & aggressive Technology professionals who will demonstrate a high degree of initiative, ownership, commitment, and integrity and possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and vision. Must have worked in start-ups (preferably Ecommerce) that have grown exponentially within a few years.

Job Profile:

1. Define & lead the corporate technology and architectural strategy for high-volume business operations. Design a 2-year strategic plan to meet the business objectives. Identify and develop/acquire the technology needs of the organization. Leverage the latest technology; formulate and develop value-added solutions for clients

2. Provide leadership to the IT Team and manage & monitor all IT functions/matters including the development of modules, infrastructure, storage, and resolution of customer queries. Developing and implementing IT policies & strategies that support business objectives

3. Build & lead a team of full-stack developers

4. Understand, articulate, and incorporate Cloud strategies, and define end-to-end architecture solutions for customers.

5. Integrate newer technologies into solutions. Provide competitive analysis of solutions with differentiation and articulate value proposition

6. Demonstrated experience in the Presales process framework, proposal submission process, and best practices in order to convert leads to opportunities.

7. Prepare and deliver solution-based, use case-based presentations and demonstrations to customers. Present the value proposition to a variety of audiences from C-level to end-users and all levels in between.

8. Experience in solution architecture, Solution Design/Sizing, and effort estimation understanding is a must-have. Identify technical, process, and structural risks and prepare a risk mitigation plan after understanding client requirements and effort estimation.

9. Contribute to the sales team in driving revenue by qualifying leads. Answer requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) at a detailed and professional level.

10. Ensure quality assurance of all the architecture or design decisions and provide technical mitigation support to the delivery teams. Recommend tools for reuse, automation for improved productivity, and reduced cycle times

11. Keep abreast of futuristic technology developments across the industry and various cloud offering

12. Provide thought leadership with appropriate whitepapers.

13. Create and maintain IT documentation

14. Fulfill IT requirements and support smooth business functionality to business users spread across all locations

15. Provide timely responses to stakeholders on new Technology, solutions, project status, and intimation on every service break

16. Address performance bottlenecks and ensure at least 99% uptime for business applications

17. Identify software development needs and develop relevant solutions through the in-house team. Manage overall solution design, migration, customization, and mapping business requirements. Give the required signoffs and ensure Production delivery within the agreed timelines.


18. Arrange resources, track project status, ensure team compliance, and facilitate external and internal audits.

19. Administer Budget & Cost controls, Vendor management, Security, Risk Governance, and Compliances

Candidate Profile:

1. Education: Graduates / Post-Graduates in IT

2. Should have 10 - 13 years of experience in handling IT of service (preferably e-commerce) organizations.

3. Should have strong experience in open-source technologies.

4. Expertise in building, architecting, and delivering reliable and scalable systems. Passionate about the Cloud and well-versed in areas of agile software development, system architecture, support, incident management, and reporting.

5. Must have led a team of at least 40 members.

6. Excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication skills.

7. Proactive approach: Ability and readiness to have a hands-on approach and execution when necessary of any responsibilities of the IT function when required

8. Willing to work in a fast-paced hyper-growth oriented culture
