Chief Technology Officer - BFSI

We are a fintech startup and are formed by founders of one of India's largest debt collecting companies which has clients like American Express, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, Development Bank of Singapore (DBS), HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Aditya Birla Finance, SBI Cards, Fullerton India to name a few.

We are creating a platform that will harness technology and bring in efficiencies in the debt management process.

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to engage closely with the founding team to build the Vision, architecture and technology. The incumbent may be based in Mumbai and should be passionate about joining a strong fast paced growing company which emphasizes tech led innovation , collaborative growth and pushing the envelope in terms of new innovations

Key Responsibilities :

- Engaging closely with the founding team to build the vision, architecture and tech stack

- Building a Technology team that will be responsible for full stack of development, data and analytics

- Providing technical direction & guidance to the Development team. Helping them in building the team, setting up the KRAs, policies & processes.

- Developing Technology Architecture that improves key product parameters and is robust for further scale-up

- Design and implement changes to the product to improve the overall UI/UX

- Integrating APIs with key business clients

- Developing a solid understanding of the customer segment and aligning the team accordingly

- Work with the CEO & Other CXOs to arrive at next steps & experiments. This will include leading discussions, engaging in debate, driving an opinionated group to reach a conclusion

- Delivering on the product MVP in the short term and designing the tech plan for the long term

Experience & Skills Required :

- 5+ years of experience in hands-on technical management

- Technical Skills : Expertise in relevant languages

- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job

- Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff

- Self-starter and ability to work in unstructured environments

- Multitasking ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure

- Strong written and presentation skills

- An articulate and persuasive communicator, as both a writer and a speaker, who uses data to support his/ her arguments

- Thought leadership and influence without relying on hierarchy

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's in Computer Science (B.Tech/B.E) from the IITs/ NITs/ BITS/ similar Tier-1 Tech school

- Preferred Masters Degree in M.Sc/ M.E/ M.Tech/ MCA
