The Chief Technology Officer role is responsible to define, architect and innovate the technology platform on web & app in the areas of product life cycle management, 3rd party financial data-source integration, data-driven learning algorithms, automated decisions, etc. to achieve seamless user experience of our product offerings across platforms to end customer.

This role requires continual efforts on:

- Architect and oversee the entire technology platform for all aspects of the loan process, viz., application, automated decisioning, 3rd party financial data-source integration, loan lifecycle management, data-driven learning algorithms

- Look for opportunities and risks involved for delivering the company's services as a web-based business, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success

- Evaluate and improvise appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company's services

- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services

Challenges:

The main challenges faced by this profile include:

a. Managing the complex IT set up of the organization

b. Ensuring perpetual high infrastructure uptime (including networks, servers, routers etc.)

c. Securing data confidentiality, ensuring IT policy & TAT compliance and developing user friendly & efficient applications to fulfil business requirements

d. Ensuring ROI for all IT solutions through effective project management as well as asset usage, maintenance and deployment.

Key Result Areas:

IT Strategy and Planning:

- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals

- Identify opportunities and de-risk for delivering the company's services across technology platforms, opportunities for innovation and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success

- Demonstrate ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps

Technology Implementation & Deployment

- Meticulous project management for the evaluation, development and deployment of all web and app-based services

- Spearhead IT projects to increase our market reach and improve our USP

- Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and servers

- Identify and prioritize development initiatives

Enhance and enrich technology platform

- Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and company operations

- Collaborate with Product team, User Experience Designer and potential customers to prepare wireframes or mockups of a prototype of the company's web application

- Establish a specification conformance and testing regime based on user stories and the User Experience design

- As part of BCP, ensure that there is no failure in business operations and appropriate DR plans are in place and regularly tested for readiness for unforeseen and unexpected events which can impact the business continuity

Optimize IT spends and initiatives

- Lead strategic insight and overview of business case justifications and ROI analysis for IT spending and initiatives

- Responsible for digitizing the entire gamut of operations, reduction in cost of operations by leveraging the digital shift

- Optimize and manage the technology network in a manner it delivers high efficiency with sufficient resilience and yet managing costs effectively

- Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics

Team Management and Development

- Build a strong and motivated team of senior solution experts and technology managers that carry out the IT function effectively and efficiently

- Authorize and empower direct reports to negotiate with vendors and business to implement efficient IT function

- Ensure personal development plans are followed through for each individual in the IT team

- Ensure the team is up to date on the latest technology offerings and practices in order to stay relevant as partners to business

- Resource Management to balance the IT staffing needs from technology and business requirement perspective.
