About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our organisation. As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of our technology department, ensuring the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that align with our business objectives and drive growth. You will play a crucial role in shaping our technology vision, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. Responsibilities: 1. Technology Strategy and Leadership: - Develop and communicate the company's technology vision and strategy, in alignment with the overall business goals. - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to financial services and assess their potential impact on our business. - Providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with other executives and stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance operations, streamline processes, and improve customer experience. 2. Technology Infrastructure and Operations: - Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. - Establish and maintain robust technology operations, including networks, servers, databases, and systems, to support business operations. - Implement and enforce appropriate security measures, data protection protocols, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard sensitive financial information. 3. Software Development and Technology Solutions: - Lead the development and execution of the company's technology roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products and solutions. - Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to identify technology solutions that address business needs, improve efficiency, and drive innovation. - Oversee the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 4. Digital Transformation and Innovation: - Work closely with business units to understand their needs and develop innovative technology solutions that enhance experience and drive revenue growth. - Foster a culture of innovation within the technology department, encouraging experimentation and the exploration of emerging technologies. 5. Vendor Management and Strategic Partnerships: - Evaluate and select technology vendors and partners, ensuring their alignment with the organization's technology strategy and objectives. - Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal performance and value delivery. - Stay informed about market trends and vendor offerings, assessing potential partnerships or acquisitions that can enhance our technology capabilities. Qualifications - - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or relevant business qualification is a plus. - Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within the technology function of a financial services organization. - Strong understanding of financial services industry regulations, compliance requirements, and security standards. - Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation initiatives and implementing innovative technology solutions in the financial services sector. - Deep knowledge of software development methodologies, technology stacks, and infrastructure management. - Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. - Proven track record in managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships.
