- Build an engineering team that can build our platform and expand our product and technology portfolio
- Work closely with the CEO to determine the direction of software development, solutions and product offerings
- Create engineering functions like Data Sciences, QA, Dev ops, Infrastructure team, UX etc.
- Increase scalability and innovation by embracing new technologies, trends. Set examples, remove blockers, support team from above
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and a path for growth within the engineering team
- Build platform not only software
- Develop a vision for future of our platform
- Responsible for the design, development and architecture of all major software solutions, including the establishment of company-wide software development best practices
Qualifications:
Tech-Knowledge:
- Strong Engineering Background specially previous hands-on development experience
- Experience in aggregating data- structured and unstructured, developing or working with analytics products or use-cases.
- Cloud Services (ideally worked with Amazon AWS, Azure ), private cloud
- Good understanding of software architecture and Data center infrastructure
- Good understanding of Platform development and building Self-service
- Ideally App Development Experience with SDKs
- Data science or social analytics experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Mobile experiences: building App, Mobile Web, web view.
- Leadership
- Strong track record of successful delivery as an individual contributor and leader
- Managed teams 10+ up to 50+
- Knows how to group engineering teams around product or functions (UI/API/Data/Architect)
- Coached team leaders and engineers to improve
- Agile and Scrum Management (Smaato has an in-house Agile Coach)
- Worked with outsourced development to increase speed

- Education and/or experience: Master's degree (M.Tech) or equivalent; or 10-15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
