Position-Group CTO for logistics organisation in Bangalore

Organisation is in Logistics,warehousing, Transport,Ecommerce Logistics

Candidates preferred from similar domain or else IT Services & Product companies worked in logistics/SCM/Warehousing projects.

- The CTO will be an integral part of the corporate senior management team & shall chalk out requisite IT strategies (both s/w and associated h/w) to keep all the Cos. at the forefront of Cutting edge technology.

- He/She will work to maximize the effectiveness of the IT infrastructure through the adoption and promotion of technology standards throughout & provide leadership for the planning, implementation and support of the technical infrastructure.

- The CTO should demonstrate a strong service orientation and will strive to mentor and develop a service-oriented team and support their individual and collective growth and development. Working closely with the SBU heads, he/she will play a key leadership role in the recommendation and selection of technologies that support the goals of all Cos.

- The CTO will work to educate and build consensus around technical standards through frequent, open and easily understood communications throughout the organization.

- Our Cos, have varied set of applications and technologies and the CTO will in-source, co-source, and outsource, where appropriate, with key business partners. Interested candidates should apply with the primary objective of implementing and supporting the most appropriate technologies that are best for respective Cos.

Primary Duties and Skills :

- Strong management, technical (s/w and h/w) and customer service orientation, well-developed written / oral communication / presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Provide leadership, direction and accountability for the technical infrastructure (both s/w and h/w).

- Develop and contribute to the achievement of goals and objectives. Ensure required compliance with Co. policies and governmental/accreditation regulations.

- Work closely with the SBU heads of respective Cos. and hold a deep insight to respective businesses to ensure appropriate recommendation, successful implementation and support of all technologies and application systems.

- Monitor the technology market and recommend solutions that will provide a competitive edge to a particular Co. with a feasible cost-benefit model.

- Develop the IT structure and discipline required to effectively manage large scale system implementations and ongoing system support.

- Develop and support Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Framework.

- Work collaboratively with various technical service functional areas that may be outsourced and serve as a conduit providing leadership and maintaining ownership of the functional area even though the service is outsourced.

- Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience :

- Master's Degree preferred. Strong technical management experience and technical certifications will be considered in lieu of a Master's Degree.

- A minimum of 10-20 years- experience in IT, with 5 years in a technical management capacity in a large, complex organization. Experience in Logistics / Supply Chain/Ecommerce
