Chief Sustainability Officer - Climate Change

One of our client in pro-climate area is looking for CSO in Chennai location.

JD:

- To be a subject matter expert on all aspects of Sustainability & Climate Change across all service lines that the client offers.

- Demonstrable experience in the Carbon Credits Trading space, including thorough understanding of Global Carbon Neutral Frameworks and Compliances.

- Demonstrated experience of leading and mentoring a multi-dimensional team of professionals working across diverse domains in Carbon Audits business, including core expertise in at least two of the following domains: Nature-based (including Afforestation, Mangroves, Wetlands, Soil), Agriculture, Renewable & Clean Energy, Technology based, etc. Aptitude to work and implement solutions in all other areas.

- Demonstrated experience across the full duration of the project development cycle in at least two of the above areas.

- Expertise in Climate Mitigation, Adaptation and Resilience planning and activities.

- Acumen for understanding the Carbon Financing metrics. Past interface with stakeholders from the multilateral as well as institutional funding agencies is desirable.

- Demonstrable experience of dealing with Clients and Stakeholders at senior & decision-making levels - including in governments, corporate & industrial sector, global standardization & knowledge agencies. Should use past network to help build partnerships & opportunities.

- Demonstrated experience of Policy matters in the Climate and Carbon Credit space - including understanding, audit-governance and implementation cycles.

- Should play a key role in setting up and maintaining the Internal Compliance as per the Local and Global regulations applicable for a Carbon Audits & Solutions Business.

- Presentable; well-groomed

Requirements:

- Graduation - in a Technical or Scientific discipline. Exceptional Candidates with graduation in a Social or Business discipline from reputed school, with demonstrable subject matter expertise to handle the technical aspects of the job, can be also considered.

- Post-Graduation - an MBA / Masters degree in Sustainability; Climate area - is preferable.
