Duration of contract: 2.5 years
Responsibilities:
As the overall head of the Program Unit, the CPO shall lead a dynamic team comprising experienced professionals as well as young professionals and be responsible for the following:
Overall Responsibilities:
i. Providing a strong day-to-day leadership presence; leading, managing and supporting the Program Unit Team and be responsible for overall project management
ii. Ensuring the setting up of the Program Unit
iii. Ensuring smooth functioning of 927 Giri Seva Kendras in 7 Integrated Tribal Development Agency Areas of Andhra Pradesh
iv. Providing overall programmatic leadership to the various verticals of the project- Giri Seva Kendras, Innovations in Digital Service Delivery, Pilots etc.
v. Ensuring that the issues of access and inclusion in the delivery of welfare services are addressed through the GSKs and other service delivery channels
vi. Leading the thinking around pilots/solutions of allied services and enhancements to aid last mile delivery of welfare services.
vii. Ensuring convergence of and coordination between various stakeholder departments and agencies
viii. Identifying mutual synergies and fostering partnerships between the TWD and national/international agencies towards furthering the project
ix. Designing and driving the key metrics for the project
x. Establishing a robust monitoring and evaluation framework including feedback loops to the government and supply side players from the ground
xi. Establishing a robust grievance redressal mechanism
xii. Leading the performance management processes that measures and evaluates progress against goals for the Program Unit
xiii. Managing the Program Unit's budget
xiv. Consultant/Vendor management
xv. Overseeing marketing and communication within the project (including ensuring efficient service delivery and creating information/communication campaigns to build awareness to enhance access)
xvi. Overseeing training and capacity building of staff and ground level functionaries to address project deliverables
xvii. Undertaking other tasks as required and/or assigned from time-to-time
xviii. Establish Market linkages to promote local entrepreneurship and strive to make the project self-sustained over the next 2-3 years.
Candidate Profile:
Experience: 12-20 years overall project management experience of which at least the last 8 years should be in managing large scale projects in the government sector/public sector/development sector
Education: MBA or equivalent from top tier institutions (IIMs, ISB, IITs, XLRI, SPJIMS, IRMA, XIMB etc.) or Masters in Development Studies/Social Work or equivalent from reputed institutions like TISS etc.
Key Traits & Skills:
i. Demonstrated interest and commitment to the development of the marginalized
ii. Demonstrated experience in using technology for enabling inclusion
iii. Experience managing a team of 10-20 members
iv. Experience handling large branch/retail operations in multiple locations would be helpful
v. Advanced analytical skills
vi. Well versed in IT systems (Being well versed in e-governance systems would be preferable)
vii. Patient and comfortable working in a complex environment
viii. Strong commitment to collaborative work
ix. Advanced writing skills in English
x. Written/Spoken knowledge of Telugu will be an advantage
xi. An ear to the ground
xii. Demonstrated Problem solving / Solution centric approach towards diagnosed issues/challenges
