They are currently impacting more than 15 million students and teachers on a daily basis and delivering programs in 17 countries across Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia. The organization is now further leveraging technology to transform the delivery of education through cutting edge ed-tech solutions and device agnostic platforms in partnership with several tech majors like Google, English Helper, etc and various start-ups. To further this mission they are looking for committed individuals with an entrepreneurial zeal as their Chief Product Officer to lead this digital transformational journey. The incumbent will be playing a critical role in working closely with the business teams in creating the technology road map for innovative product delivery. S/he will be responsible for the maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the company, improve efficiency, contribute to systems scalability and work closely with Partners who are tech majors like Google, English Helper, etc and various start-ups on platform evolution. Hence this position plays a very important role, being at the core of activities that drive the very mission of the organization, to transform the delivery of education and make a difference to the student and teacher community. Roles and Responsibilities: - Strategize technology direction in supporting engineering development life cycle needs. Collaborate with business teams in creating technology roadmaps supporting product innovation, system scalability, and platform evolution. - Create and maintain the technology roadmap that drives revenue and improve efficiency in line with business strategy. - Responsible to create digital assets of company including portal, blog, android &amp; iOS mobile apps. - Responsible for managing company's day-to-day operations to support business. Responsible for IT Infrastructure of the company including DataCenter servers and cloud servers management. - Own the full development process from understanding the product/business objectives. Develop architectural plan to create &amp; integrate systems and workflows in support of business strategy. - Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging technologies such as: Machine Learning, NLP, Google Tensor Flow, etc. - Responsible to build machine learning models from development through testing and validation for edutech industry. Investigating the impact of new technologies on the future of edutech industry. - Deliver requisite program documentation including program charters, schedules, requirements documents, specifications, design documents and testing strategies. - Perform proof of concepts and technical evaluations of various technologies, designs, and solutions. Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity - Analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features &amp; functionality and determining design methodologies &amp; tool sets. - Manage a team of IT development associates. - Spearhead IT projects to increase our market reach and improve our USP. Must Haves: - Minimum 12 years of technology experience, with at least 4-5 years in a technology leadership/architect role - Must have worked in an internet/e-commerce company - Strong hands-on experience on Python/R/Scala - At least 2-3 years- experience working with AWS/Google Computing Engine/MS Azure - Strong knowledge on data bases (SQL/MangoDB, etc.) - At least 2+ year- experience on Open Source technology stack. - Knowledge on UI/UX technology stack. - At least 2+ years- experience on Big Data Technologies (Hadoop/Spark/Scala/- ) - Strongly versed in software system design principles and must demonstrate a wide range of Architecture and Engineering experiences including many of the areas of Security, NFC, Mobile, Performance, Scalability, API gateway, Messaging, Authentication, and Auth, Java, RDMS and noSQL systems - Must have prior experience working as a product architect with hands-on activity during the product development phase - Strong mobile development expertise.
