A fintech start up, backed by leading PE firms and is one-stop solution for merchants to collect payments is looking for a Chief Product Officer.

Key Accountabilities

Product Vision and Roadmap:


- The Product Head will be responsible for crafting and driving the product vision, strategy and road map in terms of key priorities, timelines, performance metrics and so on.

- S/he will be involved in defining the long- term product roadmap based on competitive analysis and market evaluation.

- S/he will build a strong market value proposition for the product; collaborate with teams internally for evangelizing the product roadmap and aligning key projects

Product Conceptualization:


The Product Head will work collaboratively with various teams to gain insights into customer expectations (both met and unmet), pain points and requests for additional features and enhancements to provide an overall better user experience. 


- S/he will also focus on leveraging market intelligence and product insights for contributing to product pricing discussions and thinking of ways to monetize the product. Ensuring a pipeline of ongoing new features and products, by generating new feature and product ideas, will be critical to be successful in this role.

Product Planning and Delivery:


- S/he will define a concrete product plan, proactively communicate and enhance the plan with the business and management and will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of the product roadmap, as well as leading and facilitating the Product Managers and Designers in their definition of product requirements.

- S/he will build a system to conceive, build/optimize features based on data (analytics, A/B tests, and usability), with a high focus on solving problems that are deep in the market.

- In addition, s/he will drive impact analysis for the product for regular monitoring and profitability.

Go-to-Market and Tracking:


- The Product Head will also proactively collaborate with the Sales team to evangelize product, do joint sales calls and work on key customer wins.

- S/he will also be responsible for owning and tracking key metrics: product adoption, user growth, renewal rate, customer/user engagement and satisfaction.

- Work collaboratively with diverse range of stakeholders: The Product Head will lead a collaborative dialogue with various internal stakeholders - CEO's office, Data Science, Analytics, Design, Technology, Marketing, and Sales teams.

- On the external front, s/he will be interacting with vendors, system integrators, partners and customers.

- S/he will be someone who is comfortable working with various stakeholders, getting inputs and support from different stakeholders and using these inputs for product conceptualization, delivery, and GTM communication and messaging.

Provide leadership and develop organizational capability:


The Product head will provide leadership and direction to build, grow and inspire a high performing team.

- S/he will be responsible for developing the team for domain and managerial capability and for providing leadership, mentorship, and product management best practices. S/he will also be responsible for attracting and retaining the right talent working within/for the organisation, ensuring the alignment of individual goals with those of the organisation and motivating the team to achieve high impact.

Qualifications:

Operational Efficiency and Technology Expertise

- Significant experience of running mid to large scale operations in a complex market such as India coupled with a strong understanding of new-age credit products and technology in the lending space and allied businesses

Data-driven & Analytical Ability

- The ability to draw insights from big data sets and to work effectively in situations requiring analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills of a complex nature without perfect inputs will be key

Hands-on Executor

- Strong execution capabilities to ensure top line and bottom line growth in business. To be more hands-on in all areas of the business

Being a Digital Champion

- Exposure to Technology and Digital platforms and should be able to understand emerging trends from the customer's viewpoint

Domain expert - will be a plus

- Retail Lending experience in a NBFC/ Banking sector with the understanding of key levers that impact profitability of business will be a plus
