Chief Product Officer - SaaS

FutureLeap Search has been mandated by a Series C funded SaaS Company to hire a visionary Chief Product Officer (CPO) with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, who has transitioned from a technical background to product leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in SAAS startups, with a deep understanding of scaling products and teams. As the CPO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product roadmap, fostering innovation, and ensuring our offerings exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and execution of the company's product strategy, aligning with the overall business objectives and market needs.

2. Drive product innovation by identifying market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis.

3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and marketing to deliver high-quality, customer-centric products.

4. Define and prioritize product features based on customer feedback, data analysis, and business impact.

5. Build and mentor a high-performing product organization, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

6. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance and drive growth.

7. Partner with senior leadership to communicate product vision, roadmap, and milestones to stakeholders.

8. Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful SAAS products from concept to launch.

3. Strong technical background with previous experience as a software engineer or similar role.

4. Demonstrated experience in scaling products and teams in fast-paced startup environments.

5. Deep understanding of SAAS business models, subscription-based pricing strategies, and customer lifecycle management.

6. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

7. Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.

8. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving market landscape.

9. Experience working in agile development methodologies; certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
