Chief Operations Manager - Leading MNC Life Insurance

Job Profile :

1. Manage day-to-day deliverables of the following key functions of Central Processing Center (CPC - our central operations department):

- New Business Unit (NB)

- Logistics Control Unit (LCU)

- Vendor Management Unit

- Scanning Unit at Head Office

2. Ensuring smooth processing of New Business (NB) proposal and achieving the agreed TAT and SLA with Sales.

3. Ensure smooth Month end, Quarter end and Year end

4. Reduce the per policy cost of NB processing.

5. Reduce the NB data entry related errors to zero

6. Ensure smooth processing of the Dispatch function and achieve the agreed TAT & SLA

7. Handle the entire dispatch of the Policy Documents, Cheques dispatch and all clients servicing communication through the various modes (Courier, Speed Post, Regd. A/d, Inland Letter, Normal Post) and reduce cost

8. Reduce the policy document & cheque RTO %.

9. Reduce the dependence on Speed Post.

10. Handle all the vendors and ensure the agreed TAT’s are achieved by the vendor.

11. Create backup for all vendors handled by us.

12. Handle the Legal and Compliance matters of all functions and ensure zero non-compliance

13. Improve the Risk management and Process Orientation of the team

14. Ensure completion of all projects as per the project timelines and ensure the quality of the projects undertaken

15. Drive automation and process improvements on a continual basis

Skill requirements

Technical Skills

Knowledge of

- Operations Processes and System

- Internal Controls

- Rules and Regulation required in the Industry

- Dispatch process of a Company

- Handling outsourced vendors.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytic focus & Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

- Flexibility

- Communication and team-building skills

- Customer orientation

- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization

Qualification and Experience

- 7 to 8 years post qualification experience . The person must have handled some team within Operations independently for atleast 3-4 years (preferably from Insurance/ Banking industry)

- CA/ MBA with excellent academic record and experience in an Operations team

- Candidate should necessarily be from the service industry preferably Life Insurance / BFSI

Work Location : Mumbai

CTC : 10 Lkhs to 12 Lkhs
