Introduction:  The foundation seeks to champion the cause of mental health in India, with a focus on depression in particular. Besides spreading awareness, it also aims to support and carry out various on-ground activities - training GPs, creating a national database of mental healthcare professionals for easy access, developing help-lines with actual health-care professionals, furthering the cause through fundraising, partnering with other organisations and NGOs and establishing strong links with reputed institutes such as NIMHANS and TISS. The organisation will also associate and collaborate with other NGOs in the mental health space for on-ground programmes and projects, and fund and support research and data collection on mental health. Another focus area would be granting scholarships and other support to research associates   Leveraging the voice of the founder, the foundation aims to create visibility and awareness via digital and traditional media channels to take the message to a larger population. The organisation also aims to build a repository of content on mental health while being a definitive go-to source for people with mental health concerns, caregivers and even mental healthcare professionals.  Reason for hire:  The Foundation is looking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer who can provide leadership, direction and coordinate all activities of the Foundation in accordance with its vision, goals and objectives with the aim to maximise social returns on investments. He/She would oversee the execution of operations and hold responsibility of building partnerships and resource mobilisation  Roles and responsibilities:  Management and Administration  - Set the Strategic Direction, with the approval of the Board, to guide the growth and development of the Foundation  - Ensure that strong strategic and annual planning processes are in place for formulation of effective plans  - Set the goals and objectives for the Foundation with the assistance of the Senior Core Working Committee  - Manage and Monitor performance of the Foundation  - Ensure co-ordination between the various teams within the Foundation for effective management and the success of the Foundation.  - Ensure the design, development and effective implementation of policies and processes governing the operations of the Foundation  - Provide guidance to the Board on the growth of the Foundation.  - Provide leadership to the team and promote a culture consistent with the Foundation's values  Fundraising Responsibility  - Will have the lead role in developing and implementing The Fundraising Strategy in line with the strategic aims of the Foundation.  - Will have overall budgetary responsibility.   - Ensure delivery of income against targets, monitoring and evaluating performance and taking corrective action where necessary.   - Work on significant contribution from the CSR sections of private organizations.  - Develop persuasive and innovative proposals, case studies and pitches to maximize or secure income from a variety of corporate sources.   - Develop and establish a variety of income streams.  - Maintain leading edge knowledge through analysis and research of the Corporate Fundraising marketplace.  - Create and send out detailed and regular reports to all Donors/Board  Must Have- s:  - Graduates/Post Graduate in any stream  - Experience of about 15 years in managing operations and has been part of building an organization in a senior management position for at least 3 years   - People skills in dealing with people within the Foundation and other partners and Support Foundations.  - Excellent planning, project management strategic, analytical and evaluative skills.  - Strong Communication skills (oral & written)  Third Sector Partners, a leading senior management and board search firm in the Not for Profit sector has been retained for this position.
