At present we are having an urgent opening for COO for one the largest Business Conglomerate of India. Role Summary : The role incumbent will be responsible for leading project management of the various green field and brown field projects, process management, resources optimization, operationalizing the distillery business with strong focus on sustainability, process efficiency and growth orientation. Key accountabilities/ responsibilities: - Strategy Formulation and planning, Manufacturing, cost, productivity and capacity target to improve the bottom line of Distillery Business - Strategic plan for manufacturing by involving Production, Marketing/Sales, Supply chain for all manufacturing locations. - Lead the designing and implementation of the green field and brown field expansion projects related to Distillery Operation of the Group. - Selection and empanelment of right set of Vendors/Partners for timely project execution & delivery. - Responsible for identification of the right set of resources, their deployment and optimal utilization. - Leading and dealing with large cross functional teams for smooth operations and output. - Liasioning with various key stakeholders and govt. authorities including UPPCB and MOEF. - Design systems for manufacturability of new projects with cost, productivity & capacity targets to improve the ROC - Ensuring Cost Efficient Operations at optimum capacity with Process efficiency standards benchmarked across industry. - Benchmarking exercise and creation of data bank for sustainable improvement. - Review and control operational efficiency indices viz. Capacity utilization, Consumption norms and equipment efficiency. - Drive cost reduction initiatives for improving process efficiency and inventory management, new technology absorption and improved utilization. - Benchmarking exercise and creation of data bank for sustainable improvement. - Withhold the end to end ownership of the distillery business from current phase of expansion to operationalization, sustainable productive operations including Green Image Building and Zero liquid discharge operations - Quality: Ensure continuous process improvement towards achievement of zero customer complaints, zero re-processing, zero re-work/re-grade (Finished Goods). - Coordination among all plant functions for adherence to production plan - Ensure adherence to statutory and legal requirements - Ensure adherence to quality standards and lead quality initiatives for improvements - Ensure plant safety and conduct periodic safety and environment audit. - Review and consolidate Manufacturing Budget & Expenditure proposals. Key Functional Skills: - Vast exposure of working in the distillery business with proven track record of achieving profitability and sustainability - Excellent project management skills - Hands on with technical know-how related to distillery business. - Awareness of the latest trends and dynamics w.r.t to the business - Excellent awareness of the various statutory norms and regulatory requirements related to the business. - Excellent leadership skills, business acumen and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team. - Stakeholder management: Liaising with UPPCB, MOEF and other necessary stakeholders. At least 20-25 years of experience in managing the Distillery Business with at least 5-6 years of experience in leadership capacity/as a key management person.
