Chief Operating Officer - Institutional Equity (Operations & Settlement)


Urgently Hiring for an Leading Investment Bank to head their Institutional Equity Operations Team to be based at Mumbai.

Detailed Job Description : 

- Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organisation goals and objectives. Recommends their adoption to the Chief Executive Officer and WCM COO

- Directs the development and installation of procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow and thereby solidify management controls and direction of the enterprise. Plays a crucial role in execution of business strategy

- Brings about Process Improvements and Program Effectiveness at the execution stage

- Prepares and submits an annual operational budget. Manages effectively within this budget and reports accurately on progress made and challenges encountered

Business Intelligence - 

- Organizational reporting and monitoring : Provides guidance and leadership through management of metrics and measurement reporting process

- Ensures development and implemention of a system for tracking and reporting, on the progress of the strategic plan implementation to the CEO and Senior management team. This includes tracking of various trends and competition in a timely manner

Risk management and Compliance - 

- Oversees risk management and legal activities. This includes trading and non trading risks

- Ensures all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulations and laws governing the business

Technology - 

- Closely work with the Information Technology team. Ensures the ongoing maintenance and updation of information systems and infrastructure, including hardware and software

People Management - 

- Lead, Coach, Develop and retain high-performers with an emphasis on developing capacity

- Develops and maintains a sound plan of organization. Establishes policies to insure adequate management development.

- Provides capable management succession for those functions falling under his/her responsibility
