Chief Operating Officer - Food Tech Startup - IIM/FMS/MDI/ISB

The company is looking for a COO, who would be heading the operational aspects of the company through all locations in India. The incumbent would play a significant role in long-term planning, driving operational excellence through the team across the existing kitchens in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi NCR.

Responsibilities :

- Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.

- Identifying the right problem across departments and suggesting effective solution(s)

- Optimizing costs at all levels to work out the business economics making the model operationally viable

- Automating routine processes, keeping fixed costs to as low as possible, thus creating a robust foundation for expansion to new localities and to new cities as well.

- Expanding & setting up processes, team and distribution centres across new cities besides improving the operational efficiency in the existing cities.

- Leveraging technology for efficient clubbing of orders and identify optimal routing for last mile delivery

- Strategic Alliances: Identifying various distribution channels, B2B brand alliances to increase awareness, reach and better distribution.

- Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team

Requirements :

- Must have at least 10-15 years of operational experience preferably in the Food/QSR space. Prior leadership experience as COO, VP Operations, or GM is a plus

- To be able to keep up with the fast pace and intensity of working in a Food-Tech start-up, the incumbent must have stamina and ability to think quickly on his/her feet.

- Business management degree from a tier-1 institute.

- Previous experience in region-by-region launch and roll-out of consumer service offerings
