Description - Contribute to the growth of the company through efficient management of operations for manufacture of Shirting & Printed fabric for both, domestic and export markets besides ensuring On Time Delivery in full & high level of customer service.

Client Details -

Our client is a global leader in the fabrics & textiles sector alongside a global presence and an ever-increasing India footprint. With over a century of brand equity built on great products and strong customer orientation, they are currently in the middle of a phenomenal growth trajectory. They are looking for a strong Chief Operating Officer to lead the responsibility for the business, based out of Nagpur.

Description -

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be responsible for:

- Provide inputs for preparation of annual business plan

- Develop operations policies; setup SOPs & ensure compliance. Take necessary corrective actions to realize plans as per budget.


- Ensure OTIF as committed to customer besides high level of customer service


- Oversee rigorous cost control by regularly tracking 'estimates to complete' costs; take necessary corrective actions to realize final costing as per budget


- Ensure budgeted Inventory Cost to Revenue ratio besides driving efficiencies such as design to cost & standardization achieving faster design turnaround


- Drive formulation and adherence to quality assurance (QA) plan; bring in industry best practices to enhance quality delivering superior product


- Ensure high efficiency in all processes including Spinning, Weaving, Processing & Printing besides adherence to project safety standards


- To benchmark best practices & apply established methodology of continuous Improvement in Operations.


- Develop and implement risk management policy coupled with updating senior management on all critical issues and risk mitigation


- Planning for Machines, Material, Money & Men for operations besides building a strong succession pipeline and ensure adequate manning at each level


- Oversee the performance management process for the reporting departments through use of system generated MIS and dashboards.


- Chair operational review meetings to monitor progress and take corrective actions as required


- Track progress of key performance indicators and report the same to ED & CEO.


Profile -

- 25+ years of experience with Post-Graduation/Graduation in Textile Engineering and managing operations in an integrated textile manufacturing company is highly desirable. The person must have been engaged in manufacture of premium Yarn Dyed Shirting & high fashioned printed fabric for catering to the Exports & Domestic Markets.

- The candidates must currently be heading operations while managing large teams and have exposure to multiple facets like Spinning, Weaving, etc. Any international stint or exposure to global markets is a great to have.
