Chief Operating Officer - Crop Protection

Hiring for a Crop Protection Division for a Large South Indian conglomerate based in Hyderabad

Roles and Responsibilities

- To identify expansion/acquisition/Greenfield opportunities

- This position overseas manufacturing plants and the sales function will also report in the incumbent

- New product identification, commercialization, geographical expansion, channel expansion, brand building/ market research-based decision making, education of farmers will be major responsibilities.

- Devise business opportunities for growth both Organic and In-Organic.

- Build robust product pipeline and drive R&D innovation

- Improve market share of the company in all geographies.

- Ensure governance/adherence to statutory compliances etc.

- Plan for key operational excellence initiatives/ through process improvement etc.

- Build and manage relationships with key suppliers/customers/Government

- Identify and develop risk management strategies

- Drive adoption of technology and latest management initiatives to provide a competitive advantage to the business.

Desired Experience

- 20-30 years in Agri/Chemicals/Pharmaceutical, should have handled manufacturing and marketing

- Should have P&L experience in his previous company

Education

- Engineering - preferably Chemical Technology/Sciences

- MBA from a reputed Institute
