Chief Operating Officer - Automotive Business

Responsible for overall management of Operations at Automotive group level

1. Overall performance improvement for all plants in scope leading to business growth & profitability improvement

2. Lead the activities towards establishing a Built-in-quality approach through implementation of best practices and quality methods, management tools (e.g. QMS, 3S,).

3. Lead the actions towards strong customer relationship management

4. Organization development & compliances adherence

- To drive performance improvement based on actual internal results & identified gaps, customer feedback and establish strong internal reviews & response mechanism.

- To ensure compliance towards all regulatory, legal and systemic requirements through strong monitoring & review mechanism.

- To ensure adherence to defined standards, methods through regular reviews and drive improvement for current methods, standards towards strong Built-in-quality approach

- To provide support and guidance to respective plant teams in analyzing and deciding preventive solutions of complex problems affecting operations.

- To continuously monitor and develop the necessary skills, competencies for the team members

- To steer Central Planning (Materials, Machines, Manpower)

- To steer Production Mgt System implementation

- To lead Inventory Management across plants

- To drive efficiency improvement and cost Reduction

- To enhance Robotics, Innovation & Automation

- To lead Projects (New Plants, Machinery & Equipment, Ind Layouts)

- To ensure smooth industrial relations

- To steer the initiatives for customers awards & recognition
