Chief Marketing Officer - Consumer brand start-up


- Our client is a start-up in the consumer brand space in India. They are growing fast, and looking for a CMO to take the business to the next level.

- The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for defining and implementing our marketing and growth programs. You will be able to roll up your sleeves to get started and will have the resources to build a team, internally and externally, to help you execute on the strategy you develop.

- We focus heavily on trade and consumer marketing and your responsibility will be to build and drive the company's entire marketing initiatives and build a more cohesive strategy across all touchpoints which include HoReCa, retail and events.

This includes:

1. Create and present the annual marketing plan, strategy, and budgets

2. Keep the marketing budget in check

3. Set marketing goals and objectives across HoReCa (trade & consumer), retail channels and events

4. Plan, implement and manage marketing strategy across HoReCa (trade & consumer) and retail channels

5. Contribute to the overall growth of the company

6. Work closely with HoReCa and retail sales teams

7. Manage HoReCa, retail and digital marketing teams across cities

8. Plan and implement brand event IPs

9. Review and manage digital & content marketing strategy

10. Review, manage and liaison with our PR agency

11. Determine KPIs for the marketing department

12. Track KPIs on a regular basis and present reports

13. Deepen relationships with key partners

14. Identify talent needs, hire and manage a high-performing integrated marketing team

Skillset required:

1. Candidates should have previously worked on go-to-market strategy for new FMCG products including retail (modern and general trade)

2. Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management

3. Should have previously worked on leading marketing initiatives at a national level

4. Superb analytical skills

5. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team

6. Should be number-driven with an excellent command of Excel

7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

8. Passionate customer advocacy

9. Entrepreneurial spirit
