Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Job Summary:

An omnichannel jewellery brand recognized for its exceptional craftsmanship and elegant designs is searching for it's CMO. The firm is backed by a private equity firm and looking at extensive & sustainable expansion.

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Online and Marketplaces, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the marketing strategies to drive growth, visibility, and revenue across our online platforms and marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with overall business goals and focus on expanding the company's presence on online platforms and marketplaces.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, ensuring their skills are aligned with the evolving demands of the digital marketing landscape.

- Brand Management: Work with the Chief Brand Officer to oversee the development and maintenance of a strong brand identity across all online channels and marketplaces to ensure consistent messaging and positioning.

- Customer Acquisition and Retention: Drive customer acquisition initiatives, utilizing digital marketing channels, SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and partnerships to reach target audiences effectively. Implement strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty.

- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics, market research, and customer insights to make informed decisions and optimize marketing efforts for maximum ROI.

- Marketplace Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to enhance the company's visibility, performance, and sales on various online marketplaces.

- Product Marketing: Collaborate with product and sales teams to craft effective product marketing strategies, ensuring the successful launch of new products and features.

- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to achieve the best possible results.

- Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of competitors' marketing efforts and market trends to identify opportunities and stay ahead in the online and marketplace landscape.

- Marketing Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and performance metrics for marketing initiatives, tracking and reporting on results to the executive team regularly.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Product Development, and Customer Support, to foster collaboration and alignment between teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Master's degree from a Top Tier University (IIMs/ISB/MICA/JBIMS/FMS)

- Proven track record of at least 13 years in progressively responsible marketing roles, with significant experience in digital marketing, online marketplaces, and e-commerce.

- Demonstrated success in leading and managing a marketing team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

- Solid understanding of online marketing channels, including SEO/SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and performance marketing.

- Experience in utilizing data analytics and market research to drive decision-making.

- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces.

- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

Location: Bangalore, Candidate must be open to relocation.
