Our client is recruiting for the post of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

- The CMO will be a key member of the organization's leadership team and will be accountable to the CEO for increasing the revenues from digital media, broadcasting, sponsorship and advertising through managing the people and processes within the marketing department. The ideal candidate will define policy, strategy and programmes to obtain maximum revenue at all levels.

- The successful applicant will have an outstanding strategic vision and negotiating skills with a sound knowledge and understanding of the promotion at both international and domestic levels. He should have a successful and consistent track record of sales delivery in broadcasting, sponsorship and digital media is essential.

- The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent track record in delivering broadcast and sponsorship agreements, developing and monetising digital media and managing processes and people. S/he will be required to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, identify opportunities to grow the business by expanding the network of partners, and build relationships with the team based on trust and transparency.

- The CMO will assist and help the Board chart a growth blueprint, potentially including international expansion. The CMO will be leading the entire Marketing function (B2B and B2C) and, at the same time, leading the collaboration plan with the counterpart Marketing functions.

Skills :

The individual should have knowledge about digital media and a sound track record in strategic planning and monetising new media is essential.

- Knowledgeable in a variety of disciplines including new media, information technology, legal and finance

- Established experience in building consumer-focussed brands using both online and offline channels

- This individual will be responsible for supporting definition, maintenance, and execution of the company's strategic planning process as well as new business development efforts. New business development support would involve identifying, exploring and fleshing-out select partners and networks to grow the business

- The individual would be working very closely with the India Leadership Team, including international board members

- Extensive marketing experience including experience in a managerial role - leading by example, professionally shepherding the careers of others and ensuring that technical and personal development is occurring.

- Experience in procuring and thereafter managing third party providers including but not limited to PR agencies, activation agencies, brand consultancies and event management companies.

- Responds positively in a fast-moving environment where some unpredictable matters will occur. Good with change. An individual who is level-headed under pressure, broad shouldered, who doesn't let people see them sweat it and who are strong when it comes to controlling their emotions when the tempo is fast and the pressure is on.

- Evidence of creativity, ideas and solutions in prior roles - an individual who wants to move their career and profile forward and show that they can create meaningful value, enterprise or otherwise.

- The individual should enjoy the relationship management features and be able to demonstrate what they have achieved in that respect - an engaging character and the gravitas that means counter-parts enjoy being around them.

- The ability to work effectively in matrix and multiple stakeholder environments (UK and overseas) and both internally and externally, and where daily, quick turnaround interaction with technical and commercial decision makers will be the norm.

- Used to working with high intellect leadership groups and, at the same time, delicately balance this with working with a broader range of contacts on the client side whose talents may be different and diverse but who nonetheless play a key contributor role to the Company's commercial goals. The individual needs to know-their-audience and calibrate their approach appropriately (strong emotional intelligence).
