Designation - Chief Manager - Corporate Legal

Location - Pune or Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice to senior management on a wide range of issues affecting the business. Interpret and explain legal provisions, implications, and risks to ensure informed decision-making. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the NBFC sector.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the NBFC industry. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures. Liaise with regulatory bodies and authorities to address compliance-related matters.

- Fund Raising: Lead and manage legal aspects of fundraising initiatives, including debt financing, equity fundraising, and other capital market transactions. Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements, term sheets, and other relevant documents related to fundraising.

- Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents. Ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements and provide necessary protections to the company. Advice on contractual rights and obligations.

- Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles and best practices. Provide support to the board of directors and committees on legal matters. Facilitate the smooth functioning of board meetings and record minutes.

- Risk Management: Identify legal risks and implement measures to mitigate them. Conduct legal due diligence on potential business transactions. Advise on risk management strategies.

- Team Management: Supervise and lead the legal team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior legal professionals. Ensure effective communication and coordination within the legal department.
