Chief Manager Actuarial

- Modelling of new insurance products and maintenance of existing model

- Possess knowledge of Prophet Software architecture

- Identify issues in current Prophet model setup and propose improvements considering modelling best practices.

- Design and implement IFRS17 related developments on Prophet and other related tools.

- Liaise well with other team members to understand their modelling requirements

- Carry out cross functional interaction and be able to respond to their queries.

Measure of Success :

- Timely delivery of the results to enable reports and analysis to be prepared as per business requirements;

- Reporting of work with minimal errors through thorough checking of the valuation results;

- Clear communication of results covering various aspects of the analysis undertaken.

Essential qualifications and experience :

Qualification:

- Student member of the Institute of Actuaries of India OR Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK

- 10+ actuarial exams

- Working knowledge of different libraries of Prophet viz. ALS, IFRS would be additive advantage.

- Working knowledge of other tools like ACL, Python, R would be additive advantage.

Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in a life insurance company / consultancy.

- Minimum 2 year of hands on experience on Prophet and its applications

- People management experience required

Primary Interactions:

- Internal - Pricing team, other Actuarial teams in Max Life, IT

Knowledge and skills required :

- Ability to perform a result oriented, technical analysis and ability to perform under pressure of deadlines, as and when required.

- Strong communication skills - clear articulation of key messages arising for a technical work for the reviewer

- Ability to work in a team as well as independently as and when required

- Knowledge of working with actuarial software - preferably PROPHET.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power point and Prophet
