Chief Legal Officer - Telecom

Responsibilities:

- To provide efficacious and practical business solutions to Legal intricacies.

- To build a lean mean in-house Department comparable with the best in-house Law Departments and the law firms.

- Overall supervision and control of Litigation of organization and group companies.

- Drafting and vetting of various agreement pertaining to organization business entities, & negotiating with parties on legal/commercial/business clauses within set company policy in the best interest of company in order to mitigate the company's risk.

- Advising business entities on various agreements, its interpretations, meeting business heads to understand their business requirements to meet their expectations in the legal agreements

- Supervising Consumer Litigation, Civil and Criminal Case & cases filed against Company, cases at High Courts and Supreme Court.

- Defending of IPRs of organization and its group companies, Supervision and administrative control of organization

- To ensure all IPR for the organization & Group Companies are registered and are protected and enhances the IPR value for the Group.

- To correct functional weaknesses in system by defining / Improving the Corporate Legal Process.

- To review on shortcomings / possible improvement in work procedures.

- Weekly reporting to Management on critical cases, supervision of various due diligence.

Qualification & Experience:

- LLB/ Master is Law with at least 18 yrs experience having independently handled Corporate Legal Function.

- Knowledge of Corporate Laws, Telecom Laws, IPR Law, Civil, Criminal, Consumer, Land Acquisition, Indirect Taxation, Regulatory etc.

- Analytical Mind, Risk Assessment, Entrepreneurship, Assertive, Logical.

- Having strong business and commercial acumen.
