Chief Legal & Compliance Officer - BFSI

About the Company

A $180MM global systematic asset management is looking for a Chief Legal and Compliance Officer. The firm is registered with the CFTC and NFA as a CPO.

Responsibilities :

- Set up firm-wide compliance policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

- Identify changes and updates in regulations from different jurisdictions (US, Europe, UK, Singapore, HK and UAE)

- Manage all compliance activities, including tax and regulatory filings

- Undertake projects related to changes in compliance circumstances

- Interface with various global regulators

- Negotiate firm-wide legal agreements with support from external counsel - ISDAs, Prime Broking, FX PB, technology vendor agreements

Must Haves :

- 6-10 years- relevant experience at a buy side, sell side or law firm with global exposure

- Deep experience with US investment management and marketing regulations including preparation of regulatory filings - CFTC, NFA and SEC

- Ability to interpret and review law, policies & regulations

- Have a big picture with a vision on how to build a comprehensive compliance program
