Chief Investment Officer - Venture Fund

Job Description :

Our client, a leading business house, is setting up a sizeable VC fund in Bengaluru with a focus on early stage companies. They are looking to recruit a CIO (Chief Investment Officer) for this fund

The CIO's responsibilities will include:

- Developing the investment strategy along with the Board and Investment Committee

- Building the investments and support teams

- Running the investment process - originating, analysing and running due diligence on investment opportunities

- Taking calls on investments as part of the IC

- Actively managing the portfolio

- Participating in fund raising

Requirements Include

- 10+ years experience -

- Having a successful track record in VC investing and/or investment banking with extensive exposure to early stage investments/transactions

- Being well networked into the startup and early stage investor ecosystem

- Being entrepreneurial, able to work independently

- Being willing to get hands dirty in the early stages of the fund

- Having strong technical and analytical skills

- Having excellent communication skills and being a strong team player

- CA/CFA/MBA qualifications will be helpful
