Chief Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer - IT (10-20 yrs)
Purpose:
- Develop Practice, including Products, Technologies & Practices to support the
- Businesses in respective business for Digital Enablement & Transformation
- Work with all relevant stakeholders to create business plans & technology/technical road maps
- Works closely with Customers/Clients, globally & locally, and Product, Solutions, Technology & Operations teams
- Acting CIO for internal business & external clients within respective industry verticals and support to Jr CIOs
Principal Responsibilities:
- Build Consulting Knowhow, Design Product Roadmaps & Plan Implementation Roadmaps
- Work out budgets for technology, resources & sales
- Drive high standards on quality, delivering solutions on time and within budgeted cost
- Serve as a strategic thought partner for Technology Operations
- Ensure the right balance between prioritizing short-term and long-term improvements and strategy to improve availability and improvements in the respective practice/industry vertical
- Review new technologies for inclusion into the company's products, processes and information management systems to ensure the company remains innovative, creative and abreast of information technology trends.
- Analyze complex business needs presented by departments and recommend technical solutions.
- Provide leadership direction and guidance, creating and maintaining a productive work environment and ensuring staff have the appropriate skills and tools to perform their jobs.
- Present information and respond to questions from various levels of internal/external customers, executive management, and board of directors.
- Participates on all Technology - hardware, networking and software evaluations.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer related field; or extended experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA from a reputed institute
- 7-10 years of development experience across various stacks in the respective industry segment / verticals
- Minimum of 3-5 years of senior leadership experience managing Information
- Technology departments or organisations, preferably in a Banking / Capital Market / Retail Distribution business setting.
- Experience in a strategic and tactical leadership role in a fast paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment.
- Proven project management experience including allocation and coordination of resources and proper execution considering dependencies.
- Aptitude to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Exceptional organisational skills, detail oriented and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to apply technical problem-solving techniques.
