Chief Information Officer - Banking Captive

Summary :

Our financial services firm is looking for a senior technology leader to help us grow our information technology group in India. The successful candidate will have experience incubating and growing software development teams, managing multiple teams with multiple product sets, familiarity with all major forms of development lifecycles and methodologies and the ability to work in a global environment with product and development teams located throughout the world.

Duties :

1. Aligned with the APAC CIO and the BU CIO, build, lead and grow multiple software engineering and support teams

2. Working with the BU CIO, ensure that all product development is aligned with BU strategic product plans

3. Build and become a point of escalation for software related issues in the APAC region

4. Partner with local non technology leaders to identify business needs. Become an advocate within the BU CIO organization for delivering solutions to those needs

5. In large scale, global software programs, partner with technology leaders worldwide to ensure optimum program delivery

6. Oversee financial and staff resources

7. Keep abreast of emerging technology and trends. Identify if these trends and technologies are appropriate and how they can be implemented.

8. Assumes accountability for the performance management, career development, and diversity programs in assigned areas.

9. Present strategies, technologies and insights to executive management, client and industry forums

10. Provide technical expertise and guidance on products and systems within the purview of the role

Knowledge/Skills :

- A College or University degree in Computer Science or Engineering or relevant proven work experience is required. MBA, MS or advanced degree preferred.

- Experience in technology leadership, with at least 3 of those years in a senior management capacity within financial services is required.

- Proficiency and experience in directing people, projects, resources, budgets, and vendors.

- Proven ability to develop, recruit and build a high performing execution and support team.
