Chief Financial Officer - Startup

Our client is a Series C-funded startup, looking to hire a CFO. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the company driving growth, and ensuring financial sustainability. The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate finance, business finance, fundraising, and financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Drive financial performance by providing insights and recommendations to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and improve profitability.

- Manage and monitor the company's cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk.

- Oversee all aspects of corporate finance, including capital structuring, debt financing, and equity fundraising.

- Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.

- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors.

- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in finance and accounting.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- CA, CPA or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.

- Proven track record of at least 10-15 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in high-growth startups or D2C companies.

- Strong expertise in corporate finance, business finance, financial planning and analysis, and fund raising.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

- Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Experience in managing and developing finance teams.
