- Collaborate with department heads to implement financial controls and processes that promote efficiency and accountability.

Corporate Governance & Compliance:

- Ensure GAAP compliance, timely and accurate financial reporting (SEC reporting if applicable), and strict adherence to tax regulations specific to the real estate industry.

- Oversee financial audits (internal and external), championing continuous improvement of internal controls and the mitigation of financial risk.

- Play a key role in investor reporting and board communications, providing clear explanations of financial performance and strategic initiatives.

Proactive Risk Management & Insurance:

- Identify and assess a wide range of financial risks, including interest rate fluctuations, construction cost overruns, legal and regulatory changes, tenant credit issues, and natural disasters.

- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and insurance solutions to protect our assets and ensure business continuity.

- Lead the risk management committee, promoting a culture of financial prudence and shared responsibility across the organization.

Leadership of a High-Performing Team:

- Attract, retain, and mentor a world-class finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

- Build a talent pipeline for the future, identifying high-potential individuals and providing meaningful development opportunities and succession planning.
