Chief Financial Officer - Packaged Food Startup - CA

Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of Organization in the dynamic and competitive Indian packaged food market.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial projections.

- Asking relevant questions to respective functions and CEO on budgeting and actual expense

- Evaluating Capital Expenditure, ROI

- Evaluating channel ROI

- Assisting CEO in capital allocation

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, adhering to Indian accounting standards and internal MIS standards

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Cash Flow Management:

- Creating a clear path to positive cash flows

- Optimize cash flow and working capital, taking into account the unique challenges of the FMCG business

- Work with customers to help them finance their business to ensure adequate investment in companies business

- Helping key customers with revenue financing

- Implement measures to mitigate financial risks associated with supply chain and market fluctuations.

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Provide financial insights to support key business decisions in the context of the packaged food consumer brand space.

- Evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and investments.

- Evaluating need for investing, assisting CEO in fund raising

Team Leadership:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and adaptability.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial strategies align with operational goals in the Indian market.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a consumer business.

- Has been part of a startup in its growth stage journey

- Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving financial performance and business growth.

- Familiarity with Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Experience in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and financial modeling.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

- CA + MBA in Finance is a must.
