Role Overview Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will balance between a strong vision for a growing finance team with a hands-on approach and managing the financial operations. CFO is responsible for setting the vision and direction for both short-term and long-term budgeting, analysis and forecasting in strategic alignment with MAD's goals. Specific roles and responsibilities: - Building a sustainable financial structure that meets mission needs, goals, and aspirations over time. - Building a sustainable financial function that manages donations / revenues efficiently and effectively manages expenditures over the fiscal years. - Meeting short-term and long-term financial goals. - Overall responsibility of handling finance & accounts of MAD Ensuring statutory compliances with regard to finance & accounts. - Ensuring adequate control procedures with regard to finance & accounts. - Responsible for audit function- internal as well as external Ensuring adequate and proper reporting to donors Budgeting including periodic reviews with actuals. - Coordinating with tax consultants including and not restricted to ensuring proper tax compliance. - Ensuring compliance with obligations of foreign exchange rules & regulations of India and all other geographies as maybe applicable. - Promote a culture of high performance that values continuous learning and commitment to cause. - Mentor and develop the team using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis. - Establish and monitor team performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals. What MAD is looking for in their ideal candidate: - CA/Management degree/similar professional qualification from a reputed institution. - 15+ years of experience in similar functions - 5-7 years of senior management experience, including experience leading a team. - Experience in managing large budgets, finance, contract administration, negotiation and project management. - Experience leading fiscal year planning with multiple teams. - Good understanding of business laws. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicating to all levels within an organization. - Previous experience interacting with the Board of -Directors on financial and strategic matters. - Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles as relevant to non-profit entities. - Strong strategic, analytical and financial planning skills.
