Chief Financial Officer - Mining (Africa experience + ohada, mandatory) The CFO is responsible for developing and ensuring the implementation of a financial strategy to plan and direct the effective management of the finance function for Dynamic Mining, by providing strategic direction, policies and guidelines, to facilitate the achievement of strategic business objectives and to maximize stakeholder value. The main objective of this position is ensuring the organization's financial performance, statutory compliance and long-term financial health. Key Area : Participate to the overall strategy set up to determine the financial strategy and functional procedures &amp; policies Duties : Contributes as a member of the Executive Management Committee to the formulation of an overall strategy for Dynamic Mining and supports the strategic policy setting decisions as an executive officer in the overall financial strategy and management for the long-term capital needs for Dynamic Mining. - Develops and ensures the delivery of KPIs in line with the Dynamic Mining's KPIs dashboard. - Develops the functional strategy and ensures that it is cascaded down throughout the Finance function to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration of all functional strategies across Dynamic Mining. - Directs and oversees the design, development and management of the finance governance framework, ensuring alignment of all departments to promote Dynamic Mining's vision, mission and strategic objectives. - Directs the development and oversees the implementation of Finance functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers in a consistent manner. - Manages the finance team for optimal performance in line with Dynamic Mining policies and Procedures and relevant legislation. - Behaves in a manner and represent the company in line with the Code of Conduct. - Supports the organization and drives activities in the achievement of Zero Harm. Key Area : Budget Duties: Leads the consolidation of the Dynamic Mining's budgets and business plans and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. JOB DESCRIPTION : Key Area: Financial Planning and Strategic Advice Duties: Provides advice and guidance to the CEO, the Executive Management Team, and the Board of Directors concerning the long-term capital structuring of the business so that Dynamic Mining has funds available to support the achievement of strategic objectives. - Acts as an advisor to the Executive Management team on all Finance matters to facilitate achievement of business goals. - Provides overall direction for the effective financial management at plants in accord with corporate strategies and plans. - Directs the preparation, collation and consolidation of financial and non-financial corporate metrics into a 5-year business plan, for which the business can publish and track its performance against as well as compare to industry benchmarks. - Leads and directs the establishment and management of all policies related to financial planning and budgeting, KPI management and commercial evaluations in order to ensure achievement of optimum revenues and profitability for Dynamic Mining in accord with defined financial strategies and the governance framework. Key Area: Treasury, Risk and Insurance Duties: - Directs the accurate cash flow projections and efficient cash management for Dynamic Mining to ensure optimum return of investments. - Provides cash management services to optimize cash flows, minimize the transaction costs and execute dividend policies as prescribed by the shareholders. - Manages financial risk by overseeing enterprise wide risk management, including the development and monitoring of risks through designated corporate wide risk owners, and the offsetting of risk through the placement of insurance and hedging instruments by the Group. - Supports fund raising activities by guiding investors on potential returns and ensuring financing covenants and compliance requirements are adhered to. - Leads and ensures optimum insurance protection for all company assets and employees in order to facilitate achievement of business interests in line with the company strategy. Key Area : Accounting Duties: Leads and directs timely reconciliation of bank accounts in accord to defined regulations including OHADA and IFRS, and standards to ensure accurate verification of details whilst effectively communicating with banks to resolve any discrepancies. - Develops the annual accounts including coordinating with internal and external auditors. - Develops and oversees the execution of the tax strategy of the group. Key Area: IT Management Duties: Directs and oversees the development and implementation of IT strategies and policies in order to ensure effective achievement of business objectives and maintenance of state-of-the-art technology. Key Area: Leadership Duties : Leads the effective achievement of Finance functional objectives through the leadership of the Finance function setting individual objectives, managing performance, recruiting qualified staff, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
