Finance Leader/ CFO for a Manufacturing multinational
Location: Chennai
Education: CA or MBA from a reputed college
Systems Know how: Must have experience working with SAP-based information systems
Job role:
FP&A - Perform relevant business analysis for revenue and cost and cash optimization
Treasury - Ensure efficient cash conversion cycle and identify and ensure robust generation of free cash flow, liaison with US HQs on proper cash management
Reporting - Deliver monthly financial reports in line with corporate expectations
Business partnership - Financial leadership and aligning business and finance strategy for growth in the business
Leadership - Overseeing the company's fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing; recruit, motivate, and develop team of high-performance finance and accounting personnel
Risk management and mitigation - Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities for the company
Cross-functional leadership - Collaborate with other HODs to develop and implement business plan
CAPEX Management - Investment planning and right capital allocation for ensuring long term profitable growth.
Accounting and Taxation:
- Ensuring correct financial statements and annual accounts of the Company conforming to both the local GAAP and US GAAP Accounting standards
- Implement appropriate accounting structures, controls, and procedures to identify and track financial and operations KPIs
Tax planning:
- Ensuring timely submission of various tax returns / reports, statutory compliances
- Representing company before Statutory Authorities
Budgeting and MIS:
- Formulate budgets, analyze variances, and take timely corrective actions to ensure adherence to the path laid down in the Budget
- Ensure MIS and other reports provide proper feedback to Board/KMPs on the financial performance of the company
Personal attributes:
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a sharp eye for numbers and attention to details. Ability to go beyond functional fixation and deal with the events from a holistic business sense by predictively analysing operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
- An ability to demonstrate sound business judgement and negotiate to achieve outcomes
- Works with the MD and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide range of audience
- Grow and develop the team's competencies and talent to enable the department to act more as business advisors (vs accountants) and proactively pursue value add improvements
