They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team and drive the financial strategy forward.
Role Overview:
As the CFO, you will be a key strategic partner to the executive team, providing financial leadership and guidance to support the company's growth and expansion initiatives. You will oversee all aspects of financial management, including debt-raising, cash flow management, capital allocation, and financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives and long-term sustainability.
- Lead debt-raising efforts, including structuring financing arrangements, negotiating terms with lenders, and managing relationships with financial institutions.
- Manage the company's cash flow effectively, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support operations and growth initiatives.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Drive a culture of financial discipline and accountability throughout the organization, fostering a mindset of cost efficiency and resource optimization.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Must be a CA and LLB.
- Proven track record of at least 20-25 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with exposure to capital-intensive businesses and debt-raising activities.
- Extensive experience in managing retail cash flow operations, preferably in a multi-campus or multi branches or multi stores.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and technology, with a tech-first approach to financial management.
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic mindset, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience in managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to the education sector would be advantageous.
