Chief Financial Officer - Education

CFO, Head of Finance

We are looking for dynamic and results-oriented individuals with a strong conviction in the India growth story to join its team.

With 20+ years of experience preferably from Education Industry.

Key Responsibilities :

- To take overall responsibility for F&A at the client

- Responsible for supervising day to day accounting, monthly closing of books and generation of PL, BS and CF on an ongoing basis

- Responsible for creation of Budgets and tracking of Actuals vs Budgets, at an unit level, on an ongoing basis

- Responsible for monitoring of cash flow on an ongoing basis, including preparation of weekly rolling forward 8 week cash flow forecast. Finding ways to improve cash efficiency.

- Responsible for supervision of the head office and unit level accounting teams

- Responsible for ongoing process improvements, including driving IT initiatives to improve turnaround time, to improve tracking of expenses and cash flows and to reduce time costs and to strengthen controls

- Find new sources of funding from banks and NBFCs

- Responsible to make company exit ready, by preparing for sale of equity in either public markets or to a strategic investor. This will include creation and maintenance of the data room and managing due diligence

- Ongoing compliances, all direct and indirect taxation matters, completion of consolidation and statutory audit on time and taking suitable action on internal auditors' report

- Investor relations, including providing timely and accurate data to PE investor

- Responsible for outsourced secretarial function, including the smooth conduct of Board meetings. Also liaison with legal advisors when required

- Review of all commercial contracts, including arrangements with Joint Venture partners, for revenue and cost sharing arrangements

- providing inputs on pricing decisions including fee inceases from time to time

- Tracking profitability and RoCE of individual projects and business units.

Key Skills :

- Should have experience in fund raising (debt for sure, Equity is a good to have), Managing cash flows Managing timely audit and compliance.

- Experience with Trust structures will be an advantage.

- Experience in businesses that have multi unit/ multi location exposure is a must.

- Experience of having worked in an ERP environment is a must.

- Proven experience of driven process efficiencies in the company, through adoption of IT initiatives.

- Past experience of having dealt with 25+ team members in F&A is a must.

- Needs to deal with a highly intellectual, very influential and strong personality Founder Director, so needs to show right degree of tact yet firmness
